Yesterday was a beautiful sunny and breezy day which made it perfect for our trip to the beach. To say I was excited would be a serious understatement. I have been “patiently” waiting for this day since summer began. I wanted to see the look on my little guy’s face when he first saw the ocean and the sand. I wanted to see his reaction to feeling the sand in his toes and the water on his feet. I wanted him to feel how I feel at the beach- relaxed and at home. The beach has always brought me a sense of calm and peace that I could never find anywhere else. I wanted to share that with my little guy.
So at 8am there I am packing up anything and everything we could possibly use or need for our day out. I made sure my little guy was fed and took his nap so that we had a positive start to our day. When we got to the beach, it was definitely warm out but a steady breeze made it comfortable. I had my little one outfitted in his onesie, shorts, and hat, and of course he was covered in sunscreen lol. What can I say, I like to be prepared. I’m the type of person that will carry all of their belongings with me at all times just in case theres’s that one time that we could possibly need something.
As we walked up to the shore, I saw a smile cross his face and I knew that he would love the beach as much as I do. He smiled and giggled the whole time we were there (a whole whopping hour). He loved the sand in his toes and the water on his feet and legs. I must say the water was warm and delightful. It was a perfect visit to the beach. We would have stayed longer but it was approaching his nap time and the last thing I wanted to do was ruin a perfect day with him being grumpy and cranky due to missing his nap. We packed everything up and waved goodbye to the waves, until next time. It was a perfect first visit, one of many, to the beach.
Any of you have your favorite first trip or visit to the beach or any place in particular? I would love to hear about it. Leave a comment down below. XO

Wow, such a fun experience for both Baby and you all! We haven’t had the chance to take Baby Boy to the beach yet, but I love when he experiences something new as we do forest or lake adventures! π
Yea, it was really great. I’m really enjoying all of his firsts. My little guy loves nature so we are thinking of doing some forest adventures! The lake sounds great too π
We love the beach, although I do remember the first time we took our oldest and he was not keen on the sand, at all π A different story now, and we’ve had some wonderful beach days this summer. I’m glad your first trip was a success x #sharewithme
Thank you. π Oh gotcha, my little guy wasn’t a fan of the pool at first but now he loves going in and splashing around.
I appreciate the information in this post. Itβs good, well-written as well as easy to understand.

So glad your son enjoyed his first trip to the beach! We took our little one to the beach for the first time this summer as well, and now he’s been a few times. I grew up on the beach and unfortunately don’t live near one anymore. But I was so happy that my son loved the sand and ocean as much as I do! #sharewithme
Thanks! I know what you mean. It’s a great feeling to see him enjoy what I enjoy. π
