What I think of Wonderful Skin Care

I hope everyone is having a great holiday season! I have been testing out a few items that I wanted to share with you all. I was lucky enough to be sent these items to try out and as always to give you an honest review.

Wonderful Skin Care is 100% natural skin care items that are never tested on animals.      I was sent a Peppermint Lip Balm; Lavender Moisture Bar; and last but not least Cinnamon Leaf Body Butter.

I have been using these products for several days to make sure I could write an accurate review. I’ve had past experiences where I love/hate something at first and then after a couple of days it completely changes. I’m happy to report that that was not the case here. I loved the Wonderful Skin Care items from the moment I opened and smelled them and still do!

Let’s start with the Wonderful Peppermint Lip Balm. First let me say that I love Peppermint scented or flavored items especially around Christmas time. This lip balm was a great addition to my holiday skin care routine along with the Cinnamon Leaf Body Butter. They just put me in the holiday spirit. The Wonderful Peppermint Lip Balm is obviously peppermint scented and there is a very light peppermint taste to it as well as a light cooling sensation when you apply it. It moisturizes my lips without making them feel greasy. I have been applying this to my lips every morning after washing my face.

Next is the Wonderful Cinnamon Leaf Body Butter. This also put me in the holiday spirit. Cinnamon is one of those scents that I love for fall and winter. The Wonderful Body Butter has a wonderful cinnamon scent and leaves my skin feeling silky and soft without feeling greasy. When I first applied it, I thought it was going to be greasy because it has a little bit of a shine to it but once I rubbed it in, it absorbed into my skin leaving behind hydrated soft skin with a cinnamon scent. I love applying this right after taking a shower or before bed. This is a great product for anyone with dry skin or combination skin. I personally have combination skin and this product works great for my skin.

Body Butter

Lastly is the Wonderful Lavender Moisture Bar. The Lavender scent of the Wonderful Moisture Bar instantly relaxes me. It says to rub between your hands to soften and then to place it back in the jar and rub hands together to spread. This bar is very hydrating and does not leave my skin greasy either. I love using this after a shower on days where I need to unwind and relax. The Lavender scent is very relaxing and calming.

I can honestly say that these are really great products that work great on my skin with nothing that I would change about them. I really like the products as well as their packaging. They are affordable and all natural with no preservatives or additives.

First Impressions- Cosmetics

So now that I’m starting to get back in the groove of things and able to scrounge up some Me time, I decided to purchase a few products that I have been wanting to try out.

1. Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream Moisturizer- This claims to fade dark spots in 8 weeks. It says that it reduces the appearance of dark spots over time; brightens, exfoliates, and smooths; and regenerates skin’s appearance to help recapture healthy-looking, youthful luminosity. I had a sample in a magazine that I tried out all of one time (that’s how much product is in there) and it made my skin feel silky soft and smelled really good. I will be testing this out and will let you know if it actually does what it claims to do.

2.CHANEL ultra-light skin perfecting sunscreen makeup SPF 15- I had a sample in a magazine that I will be testing out and will let you know what I think of this foundation.

3. Estee Lauder New Dimension Shape + Fill Expert Serum- This was also a sample in a magazine and I will be testing it out and seeing if it really works.

4. ORIGINS Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturizer- Since I love the eye cream so much, I decided to give this a try. Smells just like the eye cream; orangey scent.

5. ORIGINS Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash- I wanted to try this because I’ve been using Purity by Philosophy nonstop since I first bought it and I thought it may be time to branch out or alternate face washes. It has a pleasant light scent.

6. ORIGINS Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask- This mask is intended to clear pores. It is black in color and has a pleasant scent.

7. ORIGINS Modern Friction Nature’s Gentle Dermabrasion- This smells really good. It is intended to gently exfoliate.

8. Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35- I have heard good things about this cream so I figured I should give it a try since I don’t usually put a full face of makeup on anymore unless it’s a special occasion.

9. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer- I figured I would try this and see if I like it better than my Porefessional primer. I will let you guys know.

10. Better Than Sex Mascara- This I wanted to test out and see if it is better than my Benefit They’re Real Mascara or my Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 mascara. It comes in a pretty pink tube which is definitely heavier than the other two.

12. The Original Beauty Blender

I purchased 11 and 12 because I wanted to see which one would apply foundation better and if the beauty blender really gives a smoother flawless application.

First Impression- Fit Life Teas

I received a Fit Life Tea 28 Day Organic Teatox sample which I was super excited to try out. I was kindly sent a sample after I requested one. I had been on the hunt for a teatox that works and tastes good. I had heard that this fit my needs and I was curious to find out. The sample for the Teatox consists of 4 pyramid tea baggies. My first impression of the Teatox is that the baggies are classy and fancy looking with a unique pyramid design. The scent is delicious and inviting which I immediately noticed when I opened the sealed package. It has a nice fruity scent. The ingredients make it look like a fancy little bag of potpourri. I must say for first impressions this hit it out of the park for me. When I think of teatox teas I usually think of bland or herb smelling teas, so this was a very pleasant surprise.

I only have 4 tea samples so I won’t be able to give a full review as to my opinion on whether the Teatox works and it’s progression (since it is a 28 day Teatox) but I will let you know what I think of its taste as well as if anything occurs for the short time that I will be trying it.

I also received a sample of their Organic Metabolic Energy Tea and their Organic Sleepy Tea. They each come in the same looking pyramid shaped sachet bags.

The Organic Metabolic Energy Tea has a pleasant citrus scent that does waken your senses while the Organic Sleepy Tea has a relaxing and calming chamomile scent. I will let you know what I think of these two as well.
